We had such an amazing time with Danielle and Ben at The Oaks at Salem last weekend! They are the sweetest and we just loved meeting all their family and friends! Their romantic, rustic wedding gave us all the feels! Their personal DIY touches were super cute and we loved all the mint green details! Danielle and Ben met freshman year of college, she was on the women’s volleyball team and he on the men’s volleyball team. At the time he had a girlfriend and she had just got out of a rough relationship. They became extremely close, things ended with his girlfriend and she had gotten over her ex relationship. Since September of 2012 untill now, they have been inseparable.

How did Ben propose?
They had just graduated college, May 2016, and both of their families decided to take a trip to Asheville for a week to celebrate. One day, Ben had the idea to go to Gorges State Park. This park was a 3 mile hike up to this beautiful waterfall scenic view. There were rocks you could climb on below the waterfall in which they decided to go sit on one and look at the view. Whats funny is that she looked over at Ben and said “This would be a beautiful spot for you to propose to me” in which they both just laughed. I had NO idea that he was actually going to. He played it off and said they should move to another rock to get some pictures which, SHE LOVE pictures so she jumped up and ran ahead to find the perfect spot. When Ben finally met up to her, he hugged her from behind, kissed her, told her “You’re so beautiful” got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She was crying so hard that I couldn’t even say yes! Is that sweet or what!
