UNC Chapel Hill Engagement Session | Alyson + Russell
Y’all, I am SO EXCITED to share another awesome Engagement Session with you tonight! Let me introduce you to Alyson and Russell, two of our awesome 2018 clients! Their wedding will be this September at The Barn of Chapel Hill and we seriously can. not. wait!! We had such a beautiful day on the UNC Chapel Hill campus with Alyson, Russell and Franklin. Franklin, of course, being the fun loving, playful, 6 month old puppy that kept us on our toes! What a cutie! From a romantic stroll through the courtyard to kissing under the iconic UNC Well, this engagement session has it all!
We both attended UNC-Chapel Hill, and ironically shared multiple friends, although our paths never crossed while in college. On Alyson’s 5 year reunion we met, and at the time Alyson had a boyfriend back in New York City. A year and a half later Alyson texted me, because she was back in town for the UNC/Duke game with her dad. We hung out that evening at Top of The Hill, and she came down to NC to visit 2 weeks later and we have been together ever since.
Well the original plan was to fly her parents down to NC, and have them here for the big day. However, Alyson had an “accident” after a few cocktails, and blackened both eyes while also giving her self a concussion: proposal aborted. A few weeks later, and multiple bags of ice, we were down at Ocean Isle Beach with my family for Thanksgiving. We also had our brand new puppy Franklin. I proposed on the 2nd evening, while walking on the beach with Franklin at sunset. It was perfect.

I”m so hooked on with your article Alyson. Confidence has been my biggest challenge to overcome.both in meeting someone new and in the process of creating my art. It feels like a roller coaster ride sometimes. I don”t have this issue as far as my Ad business is concerned. Since attending The Breakthrough workshop in Denver, I have decided to retire end of this year. May sound like a risk but am willing to take it and paint full time. I have signed up for The Magnetic You class and can”t wait to start the lessons.
