Yes Friends, it is Thursday again!! We are so excited to introduce you to, Mr. & Mrs. Slosek! Erica and Kyle were married this past weekend at the beautiful Atkinson Barn, surrounded by their wonderful family and friends and it was such a magical day!
It was the first time Bill and I had the pleasure of shooting at the Atkinson Barn and it did not disappoint! Nestled in the countryside of Danville, VA (my sweet little hometown) is this amazing farm with hundreds of acres of fields, trails, woodlands, streams and ponds. The barn was constructed in 2016, using beautiful reclaimed wood beams from the American Tobacco Company and Dan River Cotton Mills. SO COOL and such a great vibe! And how about those chandeliers?! Can I get one for my house pretty – please?
We asked Erica and Kyle what made them fall in love with the Barn and how they planned to make it their own. This is what they told us!
They fell in love with the appearance and beauty of the Barn at first site. Hence they thought the site was absolutely gorgeous (especially in the afternoon), and the rustic-ness of the barn and buildings was so them! As far as touches, they had a rustic wood arbor as an altar. Also, their decor was mostly rustic lanterns with black iron accents. They were so excited to mix the rustic-ness of the venue with the traditional classic black and white formal wedding. They did a beautiful job!
