BOHO INSPIRED SHOOT |RALEIGH PHOTOGRAPHER |THE CARVER FAMILY

Y’all. I am totally smitten with this Boho inspired shoot and probably far too excited to share these photos on my blog today – but I just can’t HELP IT!! The Carver’s are very near and dear to my heart – and Kristin (mama) is one of my best friends in this whole world! Kristin was one of my first friends when I moved to North Carolina after college and started working at Duke. In 2008, (holy cow – 8 years ago!!!) we both moved to NC and started our career as nurses in the surgical trauma ICU. We were fresh out of school – total babies, and we’ve gone through so much together over the last 8 years. From planning weddings, to planning funerals, experiencing pregnancy and then becoming mamas, from graduations to resignations, we’ve done it – together.

So OBVIOUSLY, these images are very special to me! Capturing the pure joy of Kristin and her husband Chris, with their sweet 7-month-old baby girl, Henley Rose, makes my heart happy. We took all of these images in only 30 minuets or so, but I could have done it all day! What’s next, KB? I love y’all – so, so, much! Xo, Ashley

When Kristin called me and said, “I got it! I know what I want! A bohemian baby! A BoHo photo shoot!” I was PUMPED! At first, admittedly, I did need a little explanation – but once I heard teepee and dream catcher and moccasins…I got it! And then I was REALLY pumped! 🙂 We took these images at one of my favorite spots in Cary – a farm I’ve been shooting on for over 5 years that I still can’t get enough of!
