In-Home Newborn Session | Baby Jack

Years ago a doctor told them it would be a miracle if they ever had their own baby. What followed was a long journey of frustrating infertility that led them through countless labs, tests, dead ends, holistic treatments, diet and lifestyle changes, emotional highs and lows, countless tears and lots and lots of prayers. NOW here they are, four years later, against all odds, with their sweet baby boy. None of this “starting a family” has gone anything like they could have ever planned or expected. But in the end they ended up with everything they desired, a natural birth and a healthy baby boy!!

He was 11 days late but after 30 hours in labor they were able to leave the Birthing Center just 6 hours after sweet Baby Jack was born!

As for the rest of his name, ‘Jack’ was always their first choice for a boy, if they ever had one. They knew it would be his nickname. But they had no special connection to the traditional root name of John, so it only made sense to go with the lesser used root name of “James”, after his daddy Hunter Rawley and his great-grandfather.  In-Home Newborn SessionMother and new babyApex lifestyle photographyRaleigh newborn photographerNew Family photographynewborn baby boy

I just love doing newborn shoots and when they are old friends, I love it even more! Call me sappy, but watching a friend I grew up with become a new parents, my heart is filled with joy! I know Hunter and Betsy are going to be amazing parents! Their story is incredible…and I feel honored to document this part of their journey together!
