Apex NC Wedding | The Oaks at Salem | Elania + Rohan
Can you believe it is Thursday again! You know what that means….time to share another AMAZING WEDDING!! Meet Elania and Rohan!! They tied the knot last weekend at The Oaks at Salem!!
Elania and Rohan met at the beginning of 2014. They were both at their first professional job after college. They both graduated from ECU, Go Pirates!! Elania and Rohan met at their favorite local bar, Christy’s Euro Pub and the rest was history! Well, sort of…not long after that Rohan was accepted to a graduate program in Chicago. Their relationship was fairly new and they both knew what they said about long-distance relationships. Despite what all the naysayers said about long distance relationships the two of them decided to give it a try. And lucky for them, they made it! YAY! Afterwards, Rohan got a job in RTP and Elaina began teaching in Wake County. Less than a year after living there Rohan popped the question.

Rohan was unexpectedly called into work on a Saturday. Elaina had already planned to go flying with her Uncle Heinz. When Elaina got out to the airstrip she found both her Mom and Aunt Cynthia out there. She asked where her Uncle was and was told he was up flying but would be landing soon. She then walked over to the hanger to wait for him to land. When he landed, Rohan came out of the airplane and got down on one knee and popped the question. Immediately after, Elaina said yes she heard screaming coming from inside the hanger and her two best friends Jackie and Ginna were inside hiding and recording and taking pictures of the whole proposal. Afterwards, Elaina still had to go flying as any aviation enthusiast would. They then celebrated with an Indian dinner followed by a night out in Raleigh with all of their closest friends. I am sure you will remember Elania and Rohan and their incredible engagement shoot with the WWII Plane!
Elania and Rohan are such an amazing couple! They both love each other’s sense of humor. No matter how difficult life may get, and trust me, they have been through many difficult times together, they always find a way to make each other laugh. They love spending time with each other and with all of our friends and family. They both enjoy laughter and making those around them laugh as well. Who wouldn’t want to be around these two?! <3 <3
We had to ask what made them choose one of our favorite wedding venues, and they said they came across The Oaks at Salem by accident! Crazy! They were looking to buy a house and went to a vendor meeting for a new southern housing community in Apex. While they did not end up finding our dream house that day we did find out dream wedding venue. Immediately as they were leaving we both looked at each other and said, “I know we are here to look at a house to buy but I could see ourselves getting married here.” <3 <3 The very next day they contacted The Oaks to set up a tour. That same week they toured The Oaks and had their wedding venue booked! It had the perfect southern charm that they were both looking for.
We couldn’t be happier for Elania and Rohan! Bill and I are so happy to have been part of your special day!! We love y’all and wish you many many happy years together!
